The purpose of this mandatory document is to counteract informality and contraband through Mexico.
What information requires the Complemento Carta Porte?
The areas in charge of systems, operations, and accounting in freight companies must get involved in the implementation of this document. To fill it in without difficulty, we recommend using Excel, as in the model we propose later on. Doing it in this way will allow billing programs to identify and import the data easily.
Remember that it must include all the information regarding the goods or merchandise, its place of origin, intermediate points and destinations, as well as means of transportation. The owner of goods or merchandise that will be transported through federal highways must be the one who provides the information with the codes available in the catalog of the Servicio de Administración Tributaria (SAT).
* Answers must be provided in Spanish.
The complement is divided into four main sections:
- Merchandise: related information, quantities, packaging, and delivery locations.
- Vehicle: type, license plate, and details.
- Permits from Secretaría de Comunicaciones y Transportes (SCT).
- Transportation figures.
* Answers must be provided in Spanish.
Without the Complemento Carta Porte, freight cannot go on the road. This would delay the operation and result in additional charges.
