Aunque esta regla existe desde la d\u00e9cada de 1970, fue flexibilizada en 2016 bajo la administraci\u00f3n Obama, permitiendo el uso de int\u00e9rpretes, aplicaciones de traducci\u00f3n y tarjetas con frases. Esa flexibilidad ha llegado a su fin con la pol\u00edtica actual.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"592\" data-end=\"1033\">A partir de ahora, las inspecciones en carretera y las paradas de tr\u00e1nsito deben realizarse \u00fanicamente en ingl\u00e9s. Si un conductor tiene dificultades para comprender las instrucciones, se le aplica una evaluaci\u00f3n de dominio del idioma (ELP, por sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s). En caso de no aprobarla, se le retira de circulaci\u00f3n de forma inmediata hasta que pueda cumplir con el requisito. No se permite el uso de herramientas externas de traducci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1035\" data-end=\"1567\">Este cambio responde a una <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/presidential-actions\/2025\/04\/enforcing-commonsense-rules-of-the-road-for-americas-truck-drivers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">orden ejecutiva firmada en Abril, 2025<\/a> y su impacto es considerable. Estos conductores pueden circular legalmente en rutas que inician o terminan en territorio mexicano. Por ejemplo, un conductor B-1 puede llevar una carga de Monterrey a Houston, o bien recoger mercanc\u00eda en Laredo y entregarla en M\u00e9xico.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"535\" data-end=\"704\">Sin embargo, no tienen permitido transportar carga entre dos puntos dentro de E.U.A. Esta pr\u00e1ctica, conocida como <strong data-start=\"649\" data-end=\"661\">cabotaje<\/strong>, est\u00e1 prohibida por la ley estadounidense.<\/p>\n<h4>Violaciones de cabotaje: una presi\u00f3n silenciosa en la industria<\/h4>\n<p data-start=\"780\" data-end=\"1083\">A pesar de la claridad legal, existen crecientes preocupaciones de que algunas empresas est\u00e9n asignando a conductores B-1 rutas dom\u00e9sticas no autorizadas dentro de E.U.A.
