Las empresas, especialmente en el sector log\u00edstico, est\u00e1n aprovechando la IA para optimizar rutas, realizar mantenimiento predictivo y automatizar almacenes. Sin embargo, la infraestructura obsoleta y las regulaciones vigentes representan obst\u00e1culos. Las compa\u00f1\u00edas reconocen que la adopci\u00f3n de IA es fundamental para mantener su competitividad y est\u00e1n enfocadas en mejorar la eficiencia operativa y reducir costos. Seg\u00fan el informe \u00abPanorama de Innovaci\u00f3n en M\u00e9xico y Centroam\u00e9rica 2023\u00bb de KPMG, los datos y la anal\u00edtica se consideran transformadores para los pr\u00f3ximos tres a\u00f1os, con un 80% de las empresas priorizando estas tecnolog\u00edas. Adem\u00e1s, el 52% de las empresas est\u00e1n adoptando IA anal\u00edtica, y se espera que la IA generativa aumente la satisfacci\u00f3n del cliente (31%) y la productividad (25%). La mayor\u00eda de las empresas tambi\u00e9n planea realizar transformaciones importantes en productos o servicios durante este per\u00edodo.<\/p>\n<p>A pesar del entusiasmo, la industria de transporte y log\u00edstica enfrenta desaf\u00edos de inversi\u00f3n, restricciones regulatorias y un apoyo gubernamental limitado, lo que la mantiene rezagada frente a otros mercados. La Administraci\u00f3n de Comercio Internacional de los E.U.A. estima que alrededor del 30% de la poblaci\u00f3n de M\u00e9xico vive en \u00e1reas sin cobertura de banda ancha, lo que excluye a estas regiones del ecosistema digital. \u00abEl acceso a Internet lleg\u00f3 solo a 4 de cada 10 hogares, con estados m\u00e1s pobres como Oaxaca, Chiapas y Guerrero mostrando promedios de apenas 1 de cada 10. Esta condici\u00f3n ubica a M\u00e9xico entre los m\u00e1s bajos de la OCDE en penetraci\u00f3n de Internet, especialmente en banda ancha inal\u00e1mbrica\u00bb (Mecinas, 2016).<\/p>\n<p>Se espera que la demanda de servicios en la nube y soluciones de transformaci\u00f3n digital crezca, especialmente entre las grandes empresas, mientras que las peque\u00f1as y medianas empresas a\u00fan est\u00e1n en las primeras etapas de digitalizaci\u00f3n. Seg\u00fan un informe de PwC, la IA, incluida la IA generativa (GenAI), se ha convertido en una prioridad de inversi\u00f3n para las empresas de los E.U.A. En los \u00faltimos 12 meses, el 55% de las compa\u00f1\u00edas ha invertido en IA, consolid\u00e1ndola como su principal foco tecnol\u00f3gico. Kristina McElheran, autora principal del estudio, se\u00f1ala que en 2017 solo el 6% de las empresas en los E.U.A. usaba IA y que desde entonces la adopci\u00f3n se ha centrado en firmas con m\u00e1s de 5,000 empleados. De hecho, m\u00e1s del 60% de las compa\u00f1\u00edas con m\u00e1s de 10,000 empleados ya est\u00e1n aprovechando la IA.<\/p>\n<p>Por sector, la manufactura, los servicios de informaci\u00f3n y el cuidado de la salud lideran, con alrededor del 12% de empresas en estos campos usando IA, en comparaci\u00f3n con apenas el 4% en sectores como la construcci\u00f3n y el comercio minorista. La adopci\u00f3n de IA se distribuye tambi\u00e9n de forma notable a nivel geogr\u00e1fico, no limitada solo a los tradicionales centros tecnol\u00f3gicos. Si bien la IA se emplea com\u00fanmente en ciudades como San Francisco, San Antonio y Nashville, tambi\u00e9n est\u00e1 ganando terreno en \u00e1reas inesperadas, como centros de manufactura en el Medio Oeste y ciudades del sur de los E.U.A., fuera de los epicentros tecnol\u00f3gicos tradicionales como Silicon Valley, Boston o Nueva York.<\/p>\n<p>Estas tendencias indican que, aunque la IA se est\u00e1 convirtiendo en una herramienta crucial para las empresas de los E.U.A., su adopci\u00f3n var\u00eda considerablemente seg\u00fan el tama\u00f1o de la empresa, la industria y la ubicaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>En el sector de transporte y log\u00edstica, la adopci\u00f3n de IA est\u00e1 en aumento, con el 34% de las empresas utilizando IA para tareas como la optimizaci\u00f3n de rutas, seg\u00fan un estudio de HERE Technologies y AWS. No obstante, muchas empresas a\u00fan dependen de an\u00e1lisis de datos b\u00e1sicos, con un 50% que a\u00fan no utiliza tecnolog\u00edas m\u00e1s avanzadas que podr\u00edan agilizar las operaciones y mejorar la toma de decisiones.
